Moose Toys is putting a dedicated team behind the next phase of its licensing business.

The company tapped Robbie Prinzo as Senior Vice President, Consumer Products, a newly created role that puts him in charge of Moose’s new Consumer Products division. Based in El Segundo, California, Prinzo will report to Chief Brand Officer Joe Lawandus and oversee the company’s global out-licensed consumer products business.

The move brings those programs together under a single team as Moose looks for more ways to expand its brands into new categories, products, and experiences.

“Establishing a dedicated Consumer Products division is an important next step as we continue to build Moose into a global brand powerhouse and find new ways for consumers to engage with our brands,” Lawandus said. “Robbie brings extensive consumer products experience, strong industry relationships, and a proven track record of building successful global licensing programs.”

Prinzo brings more than 20 years of licensing and brand-building experience to the job. Most recently, he served as Head of Global Licensing at Cloudco Entertainment, where he led merchandise, location-based entertainment, and promotional programs representing more than $750 million in global retail sales. His work included expanding Care Bears licensing across more than 20 territories.

Prinzo held senior licensing posts at Hasbro and Nickelodeon Consumer Products prior to his time at Cloudco. At Hasbro, he worked across fashion and home for brands including Transformers and My Little Pony. His Nickelodeon portfolio included SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, and Blue’s Clues.

“Moose has built an incredible portfolio that has so much room to grow beyond toys,” Prinzo said. “I’m energized by the opportunity to build on that and take our brands into new categories, products, and experiences.”

Moose’s inbound licensing team will remain under Hollie Holmes, who also reports to Lawandus.
