LEGO is throwing it back to the 1960s for its latest collaboration with the Ford Motor Company. Set to hit the streets on March 1, the LEGO Creator Ford Mustang is an authentic replica of a ’60s-era Mustang featuring dark-blue bodywork with white racing stripes, air scoop, 5-spoke rims with road-gripping tires, and a selection of add-ons for builder customization. Could a dark green Bullitt model be far off?

Geared toward expert builders ages 16 and up, the Ford Mustang set includes 1,470 pieces. Once complete, the doors open and roof panel can be removed to access the detailed interior with seats, radio, mid-console gearshift, and working steering. The trunk opens to store items, while the working hood conceals a detailed Ford Mustang V8 engine with battery, hoses and air filter.

LEGO builders and collectors should note that new-for-March-2019 special elements include the 5-spoke rims, 2×8 brick with bow, 1×3 mustang logo tile, and 2×4 bow with ‘GT’ Emblem.

The LEGO Creator Ford Mustang will be available exclusively at LEGO Stores, and online at LEGO Shop.
