Licensing Expo is fast approaching, and Global Licensing Group has revealed this year’s opening keynote, with a focus on video games.

Licensing Expo will take place May 21-23 a the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The event, produced by the Global Licensing Group, offers attendees opportunities to network and see the latest in licensing. This year’s event features the theme “Brands at Play,” and the opening keynote panel will look at the world of gaming. “Video Games: Driving Billions to Play” welcomes several expert gaming industry panelists, all ready to discuss the growth of video games, what fans look for, and more.

Panelists for the keynote include Nick McWhorter, Director of Global Licensing, CD Projekt Red; Doug Rosen, Senior Vice President, Games and Emerging Media, Paramount; Maya Rogers, CEO, Tetris; and Ivo Gerscovich, Chief Business and Brand Officer, SEGA of America. The panel will be moderated by Ben Roberts, Content Director, License Global, a part of the Global Licensing Group.

Video games are a rising trend within the world of licensing. According to a report from Licensing International, 9.8% of the $340.8 billion global sales revenue of licensed merchandise and services in 2022 came from video games, software, and apps.
