Little, Brown Books, Hasbro Extend Partnership

37893-1Little, Brown Books for Young Readers and Hasbro Inc. have extended their agreement through 2018 to publish books based on the My Little Pony and Transformers franchises and have added Littlest Pet Shop to their publishing portfolio.

The renewed agreement between the companies includes more original My Little Pony fare, with additional in-world book and a soon to be revealed chapter book series launching next year. In addition, Transformers: Rescue Bots will cross into nonfiction this year with leveled readers highlighting firefighters and more. Joining the lineup is an original chapter book series focusing on characters from Littlest Pet Shop.

The publishing programs for My Little Pony and Transformers were made up of traditional formats, including 8- by 8-inch storybooks, leveled readers, and chapter book series. The My Little Pony program has sold more than three million books since launching in spring 2013, and the Transformers program has sold more than 700,000 copies since 2011.
