The Joester Loria Group, the global licensing agency, revealed the 50-year-old Japanese-inspired retailer Daiso has launched a variety of Miffy products thanks to a new partnership. The collection includes Miffy keychains, sticker sheets, air fresheners, Miffy-themed calendars, scented pens, and pencil pouches.
Dutch artist Dick Bruna created Miffy inspired by a bedtime story tradition between father and son. Now, more than 68 years later, Miffy is known among Gen Z fans for her joy, childhood nostalgia, and innocence. The character has sold more than 85 million books in more than 50 languages, and has been broadcast via 70 TV stations worldwide.
The collection is available now in all 90 Daiso stores throughout the U.S. Miffy will also meet with fans at Daiso locations in Gardena, California on Jan. 6 and in Phoenix, Arizona on Jan. 7. The first 100 customers at each Daiso location will receive a goodie bag with a $30 purchase. At the end of the event day, one winner will be chosen to receive a Miffy gift basket with a $100 gift card.
