Chinese lifestyle brand Miniso is reaching new heights in the U.S.
The company revealed that its Times Square flagship store smashed sales records in comparison to the brand’s other locations. During its first month, the store boasted sales with more than 60,000 consumer visits, around eight times higher than the average sales of the other almost 80 locations in the country.
Miniso credited some of the success to having more than 2,500 offerings, including surprise toys and collaborations with Disney, Sanrio, and Pokémon. Some recent collaborations include Disney floormats featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Dumbo, and Tigger; We Bare Bears plush; and Hello Kitty and Friends surprise toys that feature mini jars with character-shaped lids. Other Miniso products include fragrances, plush, bento boxes, and pet toys.
Miniso currently has locations in 17 states in the U.S. with current projects in development with real estate developers across the country. By the end of the year, Miniso is expecting to expand to 11 new states, including Maine, North Carolina, Michigan, and Arizona, with more than 20 new locations in all.
