Just as Moose Toys‘ Scruff-a-Luvs Real Rescue collection hits stores this month, Bethenny Frankel has teamed up with the toymaker and the nonprofit American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in support of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. The follow-up to last year’s popular Scruff-a-Luvs, Real Rescue pets let kids pretend that they’re adopting and nurturing their own rescue pet.
“I love toys that help establish positive values in children,” Frankel says. “Having adopted my two dogs, Biggy and Smallz, I was immediately drawn to Scruff-a-Luvs Real Rescue and admire their support of the ASPCA.”
At a kickoff event in New York City, Frankel and her dogs joined the Moose Toys team as Scruff-a-Luvs provided complimentary pet grooming to attendees. Every Monday throughout October, Scruff-a-Luvs will cover adoption fees for those who adopt a dog or a cat from the ASPCA Adoption Center on New York City’s Upper East Side.
Since the line’s launch last year, sales of Scruff-a-Luvs have contributed more than $250,000 in donations to the ASPCA.
Scruff-a-Luvs Real Rescue pets recently secured a spot on the Toy Insider‘s coveted Hot 20 list in its annual Holiday Gift Guide.
