Playability Toys has officially launched Pigsy, an educational gaming app that teaches basic financial literacy. Later versions will include unique personalization features intended to make learning engaging and fun.
“We are very excited to launch Pigsy, which marks our expansion into the educational app world,” said Adam Small, the CEO of Playability Toys. “Like our toys, Pigsy was created using our unique collaborative approach to toy creation where input is received from members of the special needs communities, resulting in the creation of unparalleled apps and toys.”
Designed to step a child through basic, change counting exercises, Pigsy is partly targeted to the autistic and special needs community. The app includes the Pigsy “Piggy Bank,” which asks children to drag and drop different coins into a piggy bank. There is accompanying animation that tells the child if they got the correct answer.
Pigsy will feature a section for parents or teachers to input information such as names of schools, pets, addresses, favorite colors, and more.
