PMI Ltd is entering the metaverse.

The rapidly expanding company known for its work developing toys based on digital games, including Among Us, Gang Beasts, and Brawl Stars is developing a new line of toys based on Pudgy Penguins.

Pudgy Penguins are non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Ethereum Blockchain, and now they’re going into the fungible world of physical toys.

“If I’m walking through, let’s say a Walmart or a Target or Sam’s Club, and I take a left to the toy aisle and I’m a Pudgy Penguin [NFT] holder in some capacity, and I see a [Pudgy Penguin] toy on that aisle, talk about how that would make me feel,” said Pudgy Penguins CEO Luca Netz on a Twitter Spaces call this past weekend. “That’s probably one of the coolest things … when your niece or nephew is playing with a toy and it happens to be a Pudgy Penguin.”

According to Pudgy Penguins, the toy collaboration will “push the boundaries of IP functionality and accelerate Web3 mass adoption.”

Additional information on the line will be revealed in the months ahead.
