The Pokémon Co. International just revealed the next expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), Champion’s Path, coming soon on September 25.
With Champion’s Path, Pokémon Trainers can recreate their journey through the Galar region in the Pokémon TCG by collecting various pins featuring Gym logos as well as foil cards representing the partner Pokémon of each Gym Leader — similar to what they’d experience in the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield video games.
Key highlights from the set include 11 Pokémon V plus four full-art Pokémon V, three Pokémon VMAX, and one full-art Supporter card. Trainers will be able to discover Venusaur, Lucario, and Incineroar as new Pokémon V — plus Gigantamax Pokémon, including Drednaw VMAX and Alcremie VMAX.
The Champion’s Path Pin Collection includes six versions based on Milo’s Turffield Gym, Nessa’s Hulbury Gym, and Kabu’s Motostoke Gym, which will release on September 25; while those inspired by Opal’s Ballonlea Gym, Piers’ Spikemuth Gym, and Raihan’s Hammerlocke Gym will launch on November 13. Plus, the Champion’s Path Special Pin Collection features two versions, the Stow-on-Side Gym and Circhester Gym, coming on October 2.
In addition to standard booster packs, the new Champion’s Path expansion includes multiple boxes and collections, such as the Elite Trainer Box, Dubwool V and Hatterene V, and Marnie Special Collection. Each collection includes special features, such as promo cards, accessories, oversized cards, and even a special Pokémon TCG playmat.
