Starting today, Hasbro Inc.’s console version of Risk, based on the famous wartime strategy board game, is available to players worldwide. The Risk console game can be downloaded on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 systems.
Part of a collaboration between Hasbro and Ubisoft for the Hasbro Game Channel, the console version of Risk retains the 2010 rules, while introducing 3-D tactical battlefields, configurable win conditions, and Risk Legacy rule variants. Up to four players can play using the classic map layout. In addition, players will have access to Iris, an artificial intelligence whose mission is to give tactical guidance by providing tutorials and feedback about what is currently happening in the world.
Players can also play modern strategy warfare online and compete in one of four different leagues. The Risk console game is available to download from the Hasbro Game Channel on Xbox One via the Xbox Live online entertainment network from Microsoft and PlayStation 4 system, with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system versions available early this year.
