Schleich opened its first standalone pop-up shop at the SouthPark Mall in Charlotte, NC, home of the company’s U.S. headquarters. The 200-sq.-ft. shop opened for business in time for the 2018 holiday season and will run through the end of January.
The shop features 160 different Schleich animal figures and playsets with retail prices ranging from $3.99 to $99.99. There is also an interactive playzone where kids can can play with some of Schleich’s toys. Strategically placed dino footprints in the mall help families find their way to the shop. In the shop, visitors will see a 15-foot Tyrannosaurus Rex, a giant replica of Schleich’s T-Rex figurine.
The store will also host special promotions, including a free gift for consumers who spend more than $25.
Schleich plans to expand the pop-up program into malls in other major U.S. cities in 2019.
Founded in Germany in 1935, Schleich offers a range of playsets and detailed, hand-painted figures. Schleich products span six different themes: Farm World, Wild Life, Horse Club, Bayala,Dinosaurs, and Eldrador. They also offer licensed toys and novelties.
