The creator and developer behind the Roybi Robot is powering up its tech with a new acquisition of an artificial intelligence (AI)-focused company.
Roybi Inc. acquired KidSense.AI, a technology platform that focuses on kids’ embedded automatic speech recognition (ASR) and Edge-AI machine learning. KidSense.AI uses the fundamentals of linguistics, neuroscience, and embedded artificial intelligence to build speech recognition technology into physical devices and into the cloud. The platform is developed atop a database of over 150,000 kids’ voices in English, Mandarin, and several other languages.
The KidSense.AI platform is both COPPA and GDPR-K compliant.
“Fusing the KidSense.AI technology with Roybi Robot allows us to offer the most powerful AI engine in language learning in the world,” says Roybi Founder & CEO, Elnaz Sarraf. “The addition of KidSense.AI into our brand portfolio allows us to accelerate the development of additional languages while maintaining privacy as well as accuracy for children around the globe.”

Roybi’s flagship product, the Roybi Robot, is marketed as a “personal tutor for kids.” The robot is designed to help kids ages 3-7 learn at their own pace and focus on their individual interests, abilities, and strengths. The robot interacts with kids while teaching languages and STEM skills through play.
