The TAGIEs are back in action for a 15th year.

People of Play (POP) revealed the full list of finalists for its Toy & Game International Excellence Awards (TAGIEs) honoring innovators, designers, and marketers in the toy and game industries. Winners in nine categories will be revealed in a ceremony on Nov. 19 at the Epiphany Center for the Arts in Chicago.

“We are excited to be back in person this year to shine a light on the innovators that inspire us, and who are the beating heart of the toy industry,” says TAGIE Awards Host Karri Bean, senior licensing manager, LEGO, at Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products. “You all inspire us daily. The TAGIEs are our opportunity to give back and celebrate your accomplishments. Mark your calendars. We are looking forward to seeing you in Chicago!”

This year’s Game Changer of the Year Award honors James Howard for his work producing the short film, Black Inventors Got Game. The film, which has been shown at college campuses this year in addition to a preview screening at the ASTRA Marketplace & Academy in June, highlights the vast contributions of black inventors throughout the industry.
