One hundred Pre-K teachers in need will receive a surprise from VTech: $250 each. The “Pre-K Flash Fund” through AdoptAClassroom.org will help cover the costs of school supplies that teachers generally spend themselves.

“This school year may look and feel very different, yet what is not different is that teachers continue to face the challenge of funding their learning materials with their own money,” said Andy Keimach, President of VTech Electronics North America in a press release, “VTech hopes this flash fund can help ease this personal financial burden so they can focus on their students.”

A recent survey by AdoptAClassroom.org found that on average teachers spent about $252 of their own money on school supplies for distanced learning this past spring. Teachers are in need of new technology for students, new software, mailing supplies, and new technology so they can teach from home.

VTech and AdoptClassroom.org state that Pre-K teachers are often overlooked and they need help more than ever before.
