Innokind unveiled its intelino smart train at the 2019 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The app-controlled smart train offers kids a new way to enjoy a classic toy train experience both offline and off. Kids can click together the dual-sided interlocking tracks to get the train rolling right out of the box, and the smart train is also compatible with most classic wooden train tracks.

The smart engine includes built-in sensors to enable advanced interactivity and give players control—regardless of age and skill level. For off-screen use, the youngest of players can control the train’s basic functions such as steering at track junctions, speed, movement and the electro-magnetic wagon coupler by using action snap commands—sequences of colored plastic tiles that snap onto the tracks. On-screen, older players can use the companion app to turn their smart devices into the train’s dashboard.

Available in March, the Starter Set includes a 3-in-1 Smart Engine, 3-in-1 Train Wagon, 20 track pieces, 40 color snaps and a USB cable. Recommended for ages 3 and up.
