Genius Brands is strengthening its team to help consolidate its consumer platforms.
The global kids’ media company is continuing to build its international network of digital entertainment platforms by creating Genius Networks, a conglomerate that includes Kartoon Channel!, Frederator Network, and Ameba TV. To lead this new venture, the company promoted Todd Steinman to President of Genius Networks.
Genius Networks offers broad digital content across multiple media spaces, including an ad-free subscription VOD (SVOD), ad-supported VOD (AVOD), and free ad-supported streaming tv (FAST) channels. The brand also runs a network of animation creators on digital platforms such as YouTube, Meta, and TikTok.
“Consolidating our consumer platforms under Todd’s proven leadership gives us the ability to grow our brands globally, increase revenue, and maximize profits more quickly,” says Andy Heyward, Chairman and CEO at Genius Brands. “There are an expanding number of opportunities to take advantage of, requiring a single vision to achieve our ambitious goals. Prior to his role with Genius Brands, Steinman worked at companies such as the Walt Disney Company, Warner Brothers, and WPP. He brings his experience in developing and implementing profitable digital entertainment businesses and will focus on growing Genius Networks’ monetization.
