The Loyal Subjects launches Skittens, a new original IP centered on fashion-forward collectible cats.
The 6-inch plush collectibles combine kawaii-inspired designs with fashion and lifestyle elements, with each Skitten featuring a fully realized outfit made with premium materials, intricate detailing, and cut-and-sew construction.

The first wave includes 11 Skittens across six commons, three rares, and two uber rares. Wave 1 features collaborations with Juicy Couture, Reebok, RVCA, Volcom, Toys “R” Us, and The Loyal Subjects’ in-house Sweet Cream label.
The two uber rare characters are Ronnie “Sweet Cream” and Jimmy James “I’m a Toys ‘R’ Us Kid,” each with a one-in-96 pull rate. The rare lineup includes Chi Chi “Juicy Couture”, Styles “Volcom” and Lamb Boy, each with a one-in-24 pull rate.
“I designed Skittens for my wife, she lovingly calls her cat Coco, ‘Skitten,’” explains Jonathan Cathey, Founder and CEO of The Loyal Subjects. “It started with me sketching cute cats swagged out in the latest streetwear just to make her laugh. That little love language between a husband and wife somehow turned into a full-blown collectible obsession, and now we get to share it with the world.”
Skittens launches exclusively at Walmart later this month. Specialty and key retail partners are anticipated later this year.
