APC Kids inked new broadcast deals for CTC Media’s animated preschool series Kid-E-Cats.
The deals took place at the first-ever virtual version of MIPTV earlier this month following the COVID-19-related cancellation of the annual event.
Cultura will air Kid-E-Cats on free TV in Brazil, while Taiwan’s Eastern Broadcasting Asia has acquired pay TV rights on seasons one and two of the series for YoYo TV. Radio Canada has picked up the SVOD rights for season one Extra/ICI TOU.TV.
“Kind, educational, and family valued content is what kids around the world need — especially now,” says Ksenia Gordienko, director of the animation department, CTC Media. “We are happy that the partnership of CTC Media and APC Kids is growing through these new deals.”
Based on an original Russian series produced by CTC Media and Studio Metrafilms, Kid-E-Cats tells the story of three kittens: Cookie, Pudding, and their kid sister Candy. The first two seasons are currently available on Nick Jr. internationally in more than 170 territories, with a third season now in production.
CTC Media is the brand owner of Kid-E-Cats and APC Kids holds global TV and consumer products distribution rights to the property (excluding Russia, CIS, and China).
