The future of Wow! Stuff is looking bright with Dawn Lavalette as the company’s new Managing Director.
The creative partner of top licensed brands, including Jurassic World and CoComelon, promoted Lavalette to the new role on the eve of the London Toy Fair.
Lavalette, a former Head of Toys at Tesco and Senior Toys Buyer at Sainsbury’s, began her career at Wow! Stuff as Commercial Director in 2019, guiding the company’s sale strategy for award-winning products such as the Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak.
Additionally, current CEO and Co-founder Richard North becomes President while the company’s Chairman, Simon Gardner, will focus on partnership deals, mergers, and acquisitions. The new executive alignments coincide with the company’s new product launch at Spielwarenmesse, which kicks off on Feb. 1 in Nuremberg, Germany.
“I remember the day I joined, seeing the huge potential of Wow! Stuff’s incredible ‘innovation engine,’ the excitement of the team but also how I could take us to the next level. You know when you are at the right company when the team shares the same values and gets excited by producing products that are so very special — and yes, to coin a pun, are just WOW!” Lavalette says.
Wow! Stuff is poised to unveil several new products for 2023, including the new Jurassic Park 30 Anniversary year edition Real FX Baby T.Rex.
