Fred Rogers Productions enter media-based collaborations with Nine PBS and 9 Story Brands, creating new avenues and opportunities for its preschool brands.
Alongside other partners, Fred Rogers Productions collaborates with Nine PBS in St. Louis for a five-year Ready To Learn Grant. With this award, Nine PBS will receive more than $11 million in year one of a five-year cycle.
The grant will fund the creation of the Everyday Literacy Alliance. This national initiative aims to strengthen literacy in kids through evidence-based, accessible media, family engagement, and community learning strategies. Nine PBS will also develop more than 90 media products, including Fredosaurus Rex, a new multiplatform series inspired by Mister Rogers’ dinosaur statue.

Media collaborations continue with Fred Rogers Productions’ renewed partnership with 9 Story Brands for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. The renewal extends the company’s role as the exclusive worldwide licensing and merchandising agent for an additional seven years.
Moving forward, families can expect more from the preschool brand through 9 Story Brands’ consumer products program. By the end of this year, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood will span more categories across apparel, home, crafts, beauty, and location-based entertainment. The program also includes the longstanding toy partnership with JAKKS Pacific and publishing program with Simon & Schuster.
