Disguise Inc — the costume division of Jakks Pacific — has extended its partnership with Moonbug Entertainment to design, manufacture, distribute, and market costumes and accessories based on the hit preschool brand, CoComelon. Under the new agreement, Jakks will also design, manufacture, market, and sell CoComelon seasonal toy product lines for the U.S. and Canada with distribution beginning next year. The costumes from Disguise will be available this fall.

“CoComelon is a natural addition to our preschool line of costumes and seasonal toys,” says Virginia Reneau, senior vice president of global licensing, Jakks Pacific. “The series has seen such success on SVOD and YouTube, we expect to see plenty of excitement from retailers and children alike. Jakks and Disguise will bring these fun themes to life and give kids a chance to act out and role-play their favorite characters from this amazing children’s property.”

According to Simon Philips, senior in-house advisor at Moonbug Entertainment, the company expects to “see a lot of JJ’s trick or treating this Halloween.”

The deal for the CoComelon in the costume category is just the latest in a recent string of new deals for Disguise. Other recent signings include Bluey, the Universal Brand Development portfolioSonic the Hedgehog 2, and PAW Patrol: The MovieSony’s GhostbustersNintendo’s Kirby, and Moonbug’s Blippi, among others.
