Sanrio is heading to KCON LA 2026 with a first-of-its-kind activation centered around Hello Kitty and Friends. From Aug. 14-16, Kuromi makes her convention debut with interactive experiences, surprise performances, and special guests.
Kuromi’s Mischief Mansion invites guests to step into her mysterious world. At the activation, visitors can expect mystery mirrors featuring the character’s voice and image, as well as the control room, where fans help Kuromi trigger pranks. The experience also features surprise phone calls, capsule toy machines, character meet-and-greet moments, and Sanrio-themed giveaways.
Beyond the mansion, Kuromi makes a musical appearance on the Dance Stage in Kentia Hall at the LA Convention Center. During a 20-minute live performance, held twice daily at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. PT, fans can listen to a rotating setlist featuring her full catalog.
Kuromi is not the only star appearing at KCON LA. Attendees have a rare opportunity to meet Yuko Yamaguchi, the designer behind Hello Kitty for the past 46 years. Yamaguchi, as well as one of the designers behind Kuromi, will be at a special signing at the Dance Stage daily at 3:50 p.m. PT.
