The LEGO Group opened 2026 with another strong showing, extending the momentum from last year’s record performance.
Revenue rose 21% to DKK 41.9 billion, approximately $6.54 billion, and consumer sales increased 22%. On a constant-currency basis, revenue was up 26%. LEGO also continued to gain ground in the global toy market, with particularly strong results across the Americas, Western Europe, CEEMEA (Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa), and Asia Pacific.
“We are very pleased with our strong start to 2026 and the excitement we see for the LEGO brand,” said The LEGO Group’s CEO Niels B Christiansen in the company’s earnings release. “Our portfolio of products offers something for everyone, and culturally relevant brand experiences continue to drive demand across the globe. Our success in the market means we can maintain high investment levels in growth and sustainability for both the short and long term.”
Following the launch of more than 330 new products during the first six months of the year, best-selling themes include LEGO Speed Champions, LEGO Botanicals, LEGO Technic, LEGO Icons, and LEGO Star Wars.

In keeping with broader industry trends, sports and entertainment also contributed to LEGO’s success in the first half, with Formula 1, FIFA World Cup, and KPop Demon Hunters driving interest, while LEGO Ninjago celebrated its 15th anniversary. The company also rolled out LEGO SMART Play, beginning with LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Pokémon products.
The company also scored behind the scenes with increased operating (up 22%) and net profit (up 32%), increased cash flow from operating activities, and a spike in free cash flow.
LEGO continued putting that cash back into the business. Investments included roughly $718 million for new and expanded manufacturing capacity and approximately $296 million to acquire 29 LEGO and LEGOLAND Discovery Centers from Merlin Entertainments.
The company also expanded its retail footprint to 1,106 branded stores worldwide and continued work on its new Virginia factory and distribution center, both of which are scheduled to open in 2027.
“It’s been a real highlight to see the passion and commitment of our 34,000 colleagues in our organization who work to inspire kids and fans everywhere,” Christiansen added.
