The red-hot trading card category is getting a rock infusion.

Mötley Crüe and Epoch have forged a new alliance to create a premium Mötley Crüe Trading Card Collection slated for release this December. Global Merchandising Services brokered the deal as the band’s exclusive licensing agent. The band is fresh off a triumphant appearance on American Idol this week.

The Mötley Crüe Trading Card Collection features chase elements, including hand-signed autograph cards and memorabilia inserts featuring concert-used guitar picks, drumsticks, and lanyards. The cards are set for distribution across independent specialty retailers, hobby stores, card shops, and mass retailers. Attendees at this month’s Licensing Expo in Las Vegas can preview the collection at Global Merchandising Services’ booth (B170) from May 19-21.

“Our goal is to curate a trading card product that fans will truly enjoy collecting and that the members of Mötley Crüe themselves will be proud to launch with us,” says Lisa Streff, SVP of Licensing & Brand Development at Global Merchandising Services. “We are creating an incredible tribute to the history of the band through an exciting and energetic perspective combined with premium quality and highly collectible features, including authentic autograph cards and memorabilia featuring concert-worn and concert-used items. This is the ultimate trading card product for Mötley Crüe fans and collectors.”

“Mötley Crüe has one of the most passionate fan bases in music history, and we believe collectors and fans alike will be excited by the premium quality, rare memorabilia content, and unique collectibles we are creating together,” says Jamie Kiskis, Producer, North America for Epoch’s Trading Card Division.

The band’s current lineup, Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and John 5, will hit the road this summer on the Return of the Carnival of Sins Tour.
