Mattel paid it forward by playing it forward.
Last week, the entertainment and toy manufacturing company held its annual Play it Forward Global Volunteer Week. This series of events provided Mattel employees with various opportunities to support their communities through beautification projects, toy donations, home constructions, and more.
During the volunteer week, Mattel employees across the globe partnered with a variety of organizations to execute these activations. They teamed up with Salvation Army to donate play kits and host book readings, joined Save the Children’s 100 Days of Reading campaign to give away toys and provide play experiences, and partnered with Habitat for Humanity International to construct single-family homes in Los Angeles and donate playhouses to local families.
Mattel employees in Poland also recently constructed three new play spaces on June 1 for almost 1,000 Ukrainian orphans at the Ossa Hotel. In honor of Children’s Day, the company donated more than 2,000 toys to the children at the hotel. Trefl & Granna, Carbotex, and Microsoft teamed up with Mattel as partners to provide games, pillows, and Xbox consoles, too.
