Wizards of the Coast’s ever-popular trading card game Magic: The Gathering has already seen the successful launch of a number of licensed collaborations, with Doctor Who Commander decks, a full Lord of the Rings set, and more. Now, the Hasbro-owned company is partnering with Marvel for a new series of sets in the Universes Beyond line that will see release in 2025.
The reveal trailer for the new collaboration dropped just today, aiming to get fans excited for future releases. The first set will feature iconic Marvel characters and stories. It will be the second full MTG set to release under Universes Beyond, which features intellectual properties (IPs) outside of those owned by Wizards of the Coast, following the successful release of The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth.
There is more in the works than just a single set. The multi-year, multi-set deal between Hasbro and Marvel will see the release of new collectible products as well as Magic cards.
Marvel and Magic’s partnership won’t see products for a while, but Wizards of the Coast will be plenty busy in the meantime with the upcoming release of The Lost Caverns of Ixalan and Universes Beyond Fallout Commander decks.
