Sesame Workshop, the media and educational nonprofit behind Sesame Street has appointed Dr. Alison Bryant to the new position of chief research, data, and impact officer. She is joining the organization’s leadership operations team and will report to CEO Steve Youngwood. 

In her new position, Dr. Bryant will oversee research, data strategy, analytics, and impact measurement. She will also supervise the Cooney Center, the workshop’s independent research and innovation lab. Bryant hopes to develop a holistic framework for informing strategic planning and further thought leadership on the most pressing issues for kids and their families.

Dr. Bryant brings ample experience in children’s media research to her new position. She joined Sesame Workshop from AARP, where she held previous leadership roles in research development. Prior to that, she was the founder and CEO of PlayScience, a research and design firm.
