Spielwarenmesse is preparing for its 2027 edition with a new product category, expanded exhibitor presence, and the return of several initiatives introduced at this year’s show.

The world’s largest toy trade fair is scheduled for Feb. 2-6 in Nuremberg, Germany. Registration for exhibitors remains open through the end of July.

New for 2027 is the addition of Manufacturing Services, a 14th product group focused on toy production and development. Located in Halls 11.0 and 11.1 alongside the Multi-Product Group, the section will connect toy companies with OEM, ODM, and OBM partners as well as suppliers specializing in product design, prototyping, raw materials, and manufacturing.

Spielwarenmesse will continue several features designed to help exhibitors connect with buyers and industry partners. The Sports, Leisure, Outdoor Special returns with hands-on product demonstrations, while the ToyTrends showcase, Kidults display, New Product Gallery, Toy Business Forum, LicenseLounge, and the ToyAward will highlight industry trends, licensing opportunities, and product innovation.

The organizer is also bringing back networking opportunities introduced in 2026, including Meetingspaces for private customer meetings, the Toy Community Meet Up, and expanded exhibitor activities throughout the show floor.

On the exhibitor side, several major toy companies are increasing their presence. LEGO, ZURU, and others have expanded their booth footprints in Hall 12.2 under a new three-year stand agreement that took effect July 1, while TigerHead Toys will make its debut in the hall. Spielwarenmesse eG has also welcomed Asmodee as a new member of its cooperative.

The show will continue to support emerging companies through its StartupArea and Young Innovators program. Exhibitors will have access to complimentary promotional opportunities, including ToyAward submissions, participation in the ToyPitch presentations on Press Day, and inclusion in the digital What’s New Guide, which highlights new product launches for buyers.
