Tree Town Toys is introducing kids to the basics of hand-drawn animation with its latest product launch.
The SpinAnimator Studio comes with 48 different animation strips, a fine-line pen, and 10 markers for kids to draw, color, and customize to tell their stories. The set also includes a 12-page guide with animation tips and ideas to get the creative process started. By using the set, kids can learn about sequencing, storytelling, and how to experiment with frame-to-frame transitions.
Once a strip is filled with drawings, kids can load the strip into the SpinAnimator’s wheel, and spin it to watch their animations come to life. The set is entirely analog, so no batteries or apps required. With a parent or caregiver’s help, kids can print more strips once they run out, thanks to a special QR code on the packaging.
Doug Cass, Tree Town Toys Founder and Head of Sales, shares: “Animation has always had a sense of magic to it, and SpinAnimator lets kids experience that magic for themselves. They’re not just watching something happen — they’re creating it, experimenting with it, and then seeing their own artwork move. That moment is what makes this toy so engaging.”
The SpinAnimator Studio is available on Amazon and at specialty retailers. To learn more, visit treetowntoys.com.
