Big Potato Games and Spin Master Corp. entered into a three-year licensing agreement in the U.S. and Canada.
The London-based maker of board games and party games will see its full range of games taken on by the Toronto-based toy and entertainment company. Spin Master will market more than 15 existing Big Potato titles, including the ‘whodunnit’ family party game The Chameleon, which will be available this spring, and shout-out trivia game Linkee, which will launch in the U.S. in next year.
The companies will also collaborate on new properties and licenses, including Disney Colorbrain and the upcoming retro party game, Blockbuster, both of which will launch in the U.S. later this year.
“Big Potato is a boutique company with an extremely creative and talented team,” says Anton Rabie, Spin Master’s co-founder and co-CEO. “We’re thrilled about our partnership with them and the opportunity to bring their games to a wider audience.”
Spin Master, now the second-largest game company in the U.S., continues to expand its position within the category through acquisitions of new titles and partnerships with smaller game developers.
