Thames & Kosmos is marking 25 years of hands-on learning with a return to Toy Fair, where the company will unveil its 2026 portfolio, including 50 new launches spanning STEM, games, and a new category of children’s nonfiction books.
The lineup, on display through February 17 at the Javits Center in New York City (booth No. 2153), includes three Toy of the Year (TOTY) Award finalists: GeckoBot 2.0 for Construction Toy of the Year, My Robotic Pet: Coding Chameleon for Educational Toy of the Year, and Air-Power Turbo Racer for Vehicle of the Year.
“It’s a milestone year for Thames & Kosmos as we celebrate our 25th anniversary and introduce a new wave of products across STEM, games, and books,” said Ted McGuire, President of Thames & Kosmos. “From launching our first product — the original Fuel Cell Car — to building today’s robust portfolio of innovative educational science kits, games, activity toys, and curricula, our focus is to make learning approachable, engaging, and fun. Being recognized with three Toy of the Year Award nominations during this anniversary year is especially rewarding.”
Founded in 2001, Thames & Kosmos began with a mission to make science education accessible beyond the classroom and has since expanded across multiple play and learning categories, earning five TOTY Awards and 24 additional nominations.

Highlights from the 2026 collection include new STEM kits such as SolarFlower, Dusty Robot Vacuum Cleaner, and Orbital 3D Maze; expansions to tabletop favorites including EXIT: The Game, The Crew, and The Gang; and the debut of the Smart Fox educational book series, featuring titles focused on Earth, Space, Robots and AI, and Dinosaurs.
