Fashion Outlets of Chicago will welcome the first official Gunpla store on Dec. 12. The Gundam Base Chicago, operated by Bandai Namco Amusement America under license of Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America, will be located on the shopping center’s first level next to Timberland.
The Gundam franchise has become a phenomenon with its Gunpla continuing to grow in popularity. Gunpla are Gundam Plastic Models where fans and collectors alike use model kits to create giant robots from the Mobile Suit Gundam series. Starting on opening day, this location will offer exclusive products and fan activations, including opportunities to showcase building and playing with Gunpla.
