Masha and the Bear

The global expansion for Animaccord‘s Masha and the Bear continues.

On Oct. 7, WarnerMedia and Animaccord launched the popular series on Cartoon Network Turkey. The news follows the recent announcement that the fourth season of Masha and the Bear, Masha’s Songs, will debut on Netflix and other outlets around the world next year.

It’s been a big year for Animaccord overall, with a string of new licensing deals and distribution arrangements inked for the series across many territories, most recently in Eastern Europe, Turkey, and Asia.

The series follows Masha, a Russian girl who lives in the forest with her goat and dog. One morning, Masha sees a butterfly and inadvertently follows it inside the home of a bear who has gone fishing. While playing there, she makes a big mess. When the Bear returns, he sees the disaster caused by Masha. The Bear tries to get rid of Masha, but he is unsuccessful, and he and Masha become friends. In the midst of their many adventures, it’s usually Bear who tries to keep Masha out of trouble, though he often becomes the unintended victim of her light-hearted mischief.
