A new crew of animatronic ghouls is planting a flag in territory that’s typically dominated by Five Nights at Freddy’s.

Since its day and date theatrical and digital debut last month, Willy’s Wonderland has quickly gained a cult following, and now Landmark Studio Group — a Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment Inc. company — is building out a full licensing program to support it. The company appointed Radar Licensing as its global licensing agent to create a program that will include toys, costumes, apparel, electronics, publishing, and more for the Nicolas Cage thriller.

“We are thrilled with the fan and critic reception of Willy’s Wonderland, which has received great reviews and millions of impressions to date across YouTube and social media platforms,” says Landmark CEO David Ozer. “Fans want more engagement with the film, and this is the opportune time to partner with a seasoned licensing agent like Radar to create a line of products that reflect the quirky, fun, and adventurous vibe of the film delivered by the talents of Nic Cage to the marketplace!”

In Willy’s Wonderland, Cage plays a man who finds himself forced to spend the night in an abandoned family entertainment center (FEC) where he faces off against possessed animatronic mascots.

The first licensee, Changes, has signed on as an apparel partner to replicate Cage’s T-shirt from the film. Radar Licensing says additional products should begin rolling out in Q3.
