Arcade1Up is rolling out a new business strategy, as well as a crop of new at-home arcade-style machines, as part of its global expansion efforts.

The company, which specializes in arcade machines for in-home use, bringing the likes of Pacman and other classic arcade games to retailers and consumers, is looking to expand into Canada, Australia, and European countries and markets. As such, it revealed new partnerships with companies like Polyphoto, an Italian distribution company, to push its Deluxe line of retro-feel arcade machines.

Arcade1Up debuted four new in-home arcade machines as a part of the growth spurt, led by its Time Crisis Deluxe Arcade Machine. Other new machines include Atari 50th Anniversary Deluxe Arcade Machine, Galaga Deluxe Arcade Machine, and Street Fighter II: CE HS-5 Deluxe Arcade Machine. The new machines will all be on display in the Polyphoto booth at Gamescom in Germany this week, with a global release set for later this year.

“This is an exciting time for us,” says Cyrus Rosenberg, Senior Licensing Manager for Arcade1Up. “Our new flagship Deluxe design has been embraced by core gamers and families alike and we’re looking forward to expanding the line with several new releases in the back half of the year including a new franchise for us — Time Crisis.”

As video games remain tremendously popular across a number of demographics, including age, Arcade1Up’s new Time Crisis Deluxe Arcade Machine skews toward nostalgia and echoes the look of the classic arcade machine. The machine marks the first at-home arcade experience for Bandai Namco‘s Time Crisis series, which debuted in 1995.

“We are happy to extend our relationship with Arcade1Up to get the new line of Deluxe arcade machines in the hands of consumers in Europe and beyond just in time for the holiday [season],” says Polyphoto Chief Executive Officer Umberto Pirera. “There is incredible passion for franchises like Time Crisis and Street Fighter and we know that fans will be excited for these authentic arcade experiences.”
