BRANDmania and Licensing International Germany are teaming up again to spotlight some of the licensing business’s best work.
The organizations will present the Licensing Awards Germany 2026 on Nov. 26 in Munich as part of the Licensing Summit. The program returns with nine categories spanning products, brands, retail, and collaborations.
Among them is the BRANDbaby Award, created to recognize partnerships that began at BRANDmania, the European B2B festival focused on collaborations and licensing. Barbie x Condor took home the inaugural award last year.
For 2026, organizers are looking for partnerships ranging from new products and creative concepts to attention-grabbing activations.
“The BRANDbaby Award highlights the potential that lies in the encounters at BRANDmania. We want to bring the success stories of these special brand partnerships onto a major stage,” said Katrin Störr, Head of BRANDmania.
Additional categories include Licensing Product of the Year across Hardlines, Softlines, FMCG, and Publishing, Games & Location Based Entertainment; Licensing Brand of the Year across Entertainment, Corporate & Lifestyle, and Sports & Celebrity; and the Retail Loves Licensing Award.
An independent jury will evaluate entries based on criteria including innovation, brand fit, activation, and measurable success.
“With the Licensing Awards Germany, we want to highlight the economic importance of the licensing business, make the industry’s achievements visible and give successful projects a platform,” said Petra Strobl, Managing Director of Licensing International Germany.
