Just Play Makes Mischief with New ‘Cat in the Hat’ Toy Collection

As The Cat in the Hat heads back to the big screen, Just Play is unleashing a terrifically troublesome toy line inspired by the upcoming film. 

Available now at major retailers, the collection marks Just Play’s first launch as the film’s global master toy licensee, a title it secured in March under a multi-year agreement with Dr. Seuss Enterprises. The lineup includes a wide variety of plush and collectibles, all starring the classic characters families know and love. 

The Things bring their signature shenanigans to the series with the Bop Pop Thing Feature Plush. Available as Thing 2 and Thing 3, these interactive plush dolls react to movement by wiggling, giggling, vibrating, and popping. Each one also sports a wild tuft of blue fuzz, perfect for hairstyling hijinks. Kids can also grab both Things as Perch’d Shoulder Plush, which attach to shirts, bags, backpacks, and more with hidden magnets. 

For those who prefer cuddles to chaos, the Cat in the Hat Comfeez Plush assortment features soft, fleecy versions of the Cat in the Hat and Thing 3. Each plush pal is filled with more than a pound of weighted pellets for extra soothing snuggles. For even more sensory fun, scoop up the new Squooshy plush. This collection recreates the Cat and his companions as cozy, bean-filled buddies that kids can squeeze, squish, and squash. 

The surprises keep on coming with the new Cat in the Hat Mini Collectible Figures. Inside each red crate capsule, kids will find one of 11 mystery figures inspired by silly scenes from the film, like Thing 1 flying a kite, Thing 3 popping out of the Cat’s hat, and more. With a little luck, kids might even discover the rare chase figure.
