Flybar, Inc. has come a long way from its roots in selling pogo sticks.
The growing toy company is opening a distribution center in Greenwood County, South Carolina next month. Flybar‘s $8 million investment will create at least 36 American jobs at the new facility.
“South Carolina’s booming economy and strong workforce continue to attract top-tier companies,” says Governor Henry McMaster. “We congratulate Flybar on establishing operations in Greenwood County and look forward to the positive impact they will have on our state.”
In recent years, Flybar has been on a roll with an endless array of new product launches spanning multiple categories. The company makes ride-on vehicles, bumper cars, trampolines, sleds, preschool toys, skateboards, scooters, yard games, and more.
“At Flybar, our mission is to create smiles and lifelong memories for our customers, our team, and our communities. We are so excited to bring this mission to Greenwood,” says Flybar President and CEO Saul Wolhendler. “We know we will be in good company with other great organizations, a strong labor force, and the South Carolina DOC, for whose support we are so grateful. Greenwood’s infrastructure, proximity to the port, and mature business market made it the ideal location for our main distribution center. We can’t wait to get Greenwood bouncing and smiling.”
Next year, Flybar will launch an extensive R/C lineup in collaboration with Hoonigan. Of course, Flybar remains one of the largest pogo stick manufacturers in the world.
