Hasbro is continuing its quest to empower women in the industry.
Coming off the successful launch of Hasbro Women Innovator of Play, the toy industry big is introducing a new initiative to get young women involved in toys and games. Hasbro Girl Innovators of Play was announced just yesterday at the Girls Leading Change Event. The new program is being built in partnership with Girl Up, a leadership development initiative from the United Nations Foundation, and will launch in early 2024.

Hasbro Girl Innovators of Play will feature a number of new programs and initiatives aiming to encourage young women to break into the world of toys and games. The Girl Innovators of Play Bootcamp will be available globally to young leaders. The camp will give girls the opportunity to design solutions to community problems as well as connect with women leaders at Hasbro and the larger community of inventors.
The company is also offering $1,000 in seed funding to Girl Up participants. Girls ages 13-24 can submit project ideas focused on something they are passionate about and have the chance to see it become a reality through the Girl Up Project Awards.
Hasbro Girl Innovators of Play will get its start as a program in early 2024. Hasbro has expressed its intention to support the initiative with efforts such as mentoring and additional program implementation. More details about the program are expected to come out in January, with information on the upcoming launch available on the official webpage.
