The Universal Monsters and vehicles from The Fast Saga will continue showing up in the toy department in new ways over the next few years.
Following a successful, 7-year collaboration that began in 2015, Jada Toys Inc. and Universal Brand Development have inked extensions to their licensing agreements for additional multiyear terms that will commence next year.
“Our partnership with Universal has allowed us to take our vehicle and figures lines to new worlds and audiences,” says Jada Toys CEO Bill Simons. “We are incredibly proud to renew this partnership and continue to bring our innovative approach and expertise to life in 2023 and beyond.”
Primarily known for its work in the vehicles category, Jada Toys has extended its reach into dolls and action figures in recent years. Previous collaborations with Universal have included replicas of the DeLorean Time Machine from the Back to the Future Trilogy and both K.I.T.T. and K.A.R.R. from Knight Rider, along with a range of 6-inch scale Universal Monsters action figures and Jurassic Park Jeeps.
“Jada delivers highly-detailed die-cast replicas and R/C vehicles that drive incredible engagement with our fans around the world,” says Joe Lawandus, general manager and senior vice president of global toys and hardlines for Universal Brand Development. “We look forward to bringing more innovation and collectability with Jada.”
Next year, Jada Toys plans to release a host of new products inspired by the Fast & Furious films, including the forthcoming Fast X.
