Following a round of leadership moves earlier this month, Mattel appointed Joseph Vinhais as its new senior vice president, global quality, product safety, and regulatory compliance.
Vinhais, who joins the company from Integra Life Sciences, reports directly to Roberto Isaias, executive vice president and chief supply chain officer at Mattel.
“Our commitment to product quality and safety is at the heart of everything we do, and Joseph is a recognized leader in these areas,” says Isaias. “His background in overseeing quality at some of the most well-respected companies in the world, together with his extensive experience in the global regulatory environment, makes Joseph the ideal leader for this role.”
At Integra, Vinahais served as corporate vice president of global quality assurance. He has previously held leadership roles at a number of companies, including Philips, GE, and Tyco Industries.
“Mattel is one of the most iconic and highly regarded companies whose brands have shaped the lives of so many families over the years, including my own,” Vinhais says. “Mattel products are synonymous with quality and I look forward to continuing this proud tradition and building on the strong foundation created by Roberto and team.”
Mattel recently announced plans to expand its sustainability efforts to its Mega Bloks brand and revealed new additions to its diverse line of Barbie Fashionistas dolls.
