A new global toy company, Wyncor, officially launched today. The company aims to create and deliver innovative, creative toys for premium brands and its own intellectual properties (IP). Helena Perheentupa, a former Mattel executive, will serve as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Wyncor is owned by Jstar Capital.

Wyncor’s mission is to offer flexibility and speed to partners and retailers, premium products to consumers, and best-in-class product development that aligns with its partners’ IP content. Wyncor will collaborate with its partners’ creative teams to deliver products that are a natural extension of the original content.

As Chief Operating Officer, Perheentupa will spearhead all operations. Prior to joining Wyncor, she served as the Head of Licensing at Mattel in Frankfurt, Germany where she oversaw properties such as Barbie and Fireman Sam. She also held business planning and strategy roles at Procter and Gamble as well as ZAG.

“With our innovative line of toys, including a growing number of patented products, together with our sophisticated product development and manufacturing process, we can offer brands the opportunity to regularly offer new limited edition product versions for collectability and seasonal play,” Perheentupa says. “We are well positioned to react quickly to changing market trends offering relevant and inventive products, and our wide portfolio allows for differentiation at retail. We are proud to be different and fearless.”

Wyncor will offer a wide range of products, including patented toys such as the Miraball and SwopPop. Other offerings include ReClay, Mon Ami, Oozy Squeezy, and both licensed and unlicensed product lines.

Wyncor has acquired rights from Paramount for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Spongebob Squarepants, and Spin Master’s PAW Patrol for the Miraball and ReClay. Wyncor will also produce the Miraball for Hasbro brands including Peppa Pig, My Little Pony, Transformers (excluding Japan,) and Monopoly.

Wyncor also has rights from ZAG for Miraculous, with products already at retail including the Miraball, SwopPop, and Mon Ami Kwamis. ReClay is set to launch this spring. For Emoji Company, the Miraball and SwopPop will continue to spread its emotions around the world.

Wyncor will donate a percentage of global toy sales to Gustave Roussy, a comprehensive cancer center in Europe.
