Did you hear the news? If not, you’ve no doubt seen the memes: Mariah Carey has thawed, and that means it’s November, and time to look back on the biggest toy stories and hottest products of October, as chosen by you, the readers.

The holidays are top of mind as the annual hot lists scored a trio of spots in our top 10, including lists from Amazon and Target, along with the definitive list of hot holiday toys from The Toy Insider (our sister publication, also from Adventure Media & Events), and early retail order data from Faire. Outside of that, new products and promotions cracked the top 10 alongside an anomaly: The return of Chris Byrne’s “Tales of Toy Fairs Past” from September 2023. With appearances by The Grinch, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and a little film called Jurassic Park, there’s a lot to love in there.

And outside the top 10, our Fall Toy & Licensing Preview Issue, featuring The Licensing Book, continued lighting up screens in North America and beyond with New York Comic Con (NYCC) and Brand Licensing Europe (BLE) bringing the industry together last month. Check out the hottest stories below and stay on the pulse of play!
