Spiel, taking place on Oct. 5-8 at the Messe Essen exhibition center in Essen, Germany, will have a new mascot to welcome visitors this year, and it needs the industry’s help to find a name.
Spiel is calling upon its fan base to participate in naming this new mascot, which will be an orange tabby cat created by game illustrator Michael Menzel.
“I feel incredibly honored to have been given the opportunity to illustrate the mascot for this event,” says Menzel. “I really hope that people will associate it in the future with their fantastic experiences at the fair.”
Fans are encouraged to submit their ideas via spiel-essen.de, social media, or email. The Spiel team will carefully review the submissions and present a selection of the most suitable suggestions for fans to choose their favorite.
