Spooky season is rolling in full steam ahead, and Spirit Halloween is on track for another year of fear. The company plans to open more than 1,500 storefronts nationwide filled with the season’s hottest costumes, accessories, decor, and other frightening finds.

This year, each Spirit Halloween location will transport guests to an eerie underground subway for an interactive shopping experience. As they explore the platform, shoppers will encounter creepy animatronic commuters, like Twisted Grandma, Jack the Reaper, and Trick or Treat Pete, a scarily sweet twist on candy dispensers.

The 2025 costume catalogue stars both original concepts and fan-favorite characters, including beloved names from Squid Game, Marvel, Wicked, and many more.

“The opening of Spirit Halloween stores signals the start of something special for our guests and our dedicated team that works year-round to reach this moment,” says Steven Silverstein, CEO of Spirit Halloween. “We know every guest looks to our stores as an entertainment destination that brings the spirit of the season to life — and this year is no different, as we unveil our unique in-store experience inspired by the gritty allure of underground subways, alongside the best selection of costumes, decor, and accessories for every type of Halloween enthusiast.”

To celebrate the season, Spirit Halloween will also revive its Spirit of Children fundraising campaign. Fueled by in-store donations, this program brings Halloween healing to young patients and their families in more than 162 partner hospitals, including funding sensory spaces, emergency room services, therapeutic programs, and other festive celebrations. This year’s goal is to raise $18 million for the cause, adding to the $145 million Spirit Halloween has donated since its inception.
