Hape Toys’ collection is fun at full volume. The company is launching a new line of musical toys built around its smash-hit Dynamic Pixel Piano, a 2025 Toy of the Year (TOTY) finalist.
Available now, Pixelz features eight interactive wooden instruments: the Dynamic Pixel Piano that started it all and seven all-new releases. Among the collection are drums, a tambourine, a trumpet, a guitar, a microphone, and even a karaoke-style boombox system, aimed at kids ages 18 months and older.
With just a tap, strum, or shake, each Pixelz instrument comes to life with built-in music and colorful pixel-inspired lights that react and change as kids play. Whether jamming out to their favorite songs or creating their own, budding musicians can experiment with rhythm, melody, and other essential music concepts while also tuning their fine motor skills and creativity.
“Music is one of the first ways children discover their own creativity,” said Peter Handstein, Founder and CEO of Hape Toys. “With Pixelz, we wanted to create instruments that feel approachable, playful, and full of possibilities, giving every child the confidence to explore, perform, and express themselves through music.”
The full Pixelz collection is available now on Hape’s website, with select products rolling out at Target, Amazon, FAO Schwarz, Barnes & Noble, Nordstrom, and specialty toy stores. To learn more, visit toys.hape.com.
