Wild animal plushies are the new kid in town.

Wild Republic, the toy company best known for its variety of stuffed animals, is opening a new headquarters in Independence, Ohio. The move will take the company around 12 miles away from its original headquarters in Twinsburg, Ohio.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29, to officially open the new space. The holiday celebrates generosity, and so was chosen for the opening due to the company’s history of work supporting non-profit organizations. Wild Republic has supported a number of charities and has a focus on creating environmentally friendly products, such as plush filled with material made from recycled water bottles.

The company also plans to give back to the community it will be joining. There are nearly 11,000 plush planned to be distributed throughout Ohio to organizations focused on helping children in distress.

“To ring in the relocation as well this year’s Global Day of Giving, we wanted to make sure we are giving back to the community we are now a part of in Independence, Ohio and are honored to have Mayor Gregory Kurtz in attendance as our special guest,” says Vishnu Chandran, CEO of Wild Republic. “Our relocation coinciding with Giving Tuesday is just another reminder that giving back to our community and the world we live in is a main pillar of our company and will continue to be in the years to come.”
