The Toy Association announces the five individuals who will join the 2027 Toy Industry Hall of Fame.
The inducted leaders include Jay Foreman, Founder and CEO of Basic Fun!, and Robert Pasin, Chief Wagon Officer at Radio Flyer. The Toy Association also inducts posthumous honorees Ralph H. Baer, inventor of Simon; Charles Crandall, inventor and founder of Crandall Toys & Waverly Toy Works; and Norman Sas, inventor of Electric Football and founder of Tudor Games.
Foreman and Pasin are entering the hall through nominations and votes from the members of The Toy Association. Both industry leaders will enter the hall of fame for their significant contributions and lifelong commitment to toys and play. The Hall of Fame Subcommittee on Posthumous Selection recommended Baer, Crandall, and Sas. The posthumous inductees were voted on by the Hall of Fame Committee.
These five inductees join a roster of 101 leaders who have made significant impacts through toys and play. This includes notable game changers such as Walt Disney, Ruth and Elliott Handler, Joan Ganz Cooney, Maxine Clark, and more. The Toy Industry Hall of Fame will honor the new inductees during the 2027 TOTY Awards Feb. 19, 2027.

“Jay Foreman and Robert Pasin have spent decades bringing great ideas, beloved brands, and memorable play experiences to children and families,” says Greg Ahearn, President & CEO of The Toy Association. “Jay’s entrepreneurial drive and instinct for connecting toys with culture have made him a force in our industry. With the Little Red Wagon, Robert has expanded the brand’s legacy while staying true to what has made it special. Both leaders have also been tremendous supporters of the toy community, making this recognition especially meaningful.”
