The Rainbow Group’s 44 Cats will debut on Nickelodeon in the U.S. with a week of premieres beginning Monday, June 10, at 10 a.m. (ET/PT).
Produced by Rainbow (The Winx Club) in collaboration with Antoniano Bologna and Rai Ragazzi, 44 Cats follows four kittens — Lampo, Milady, Pilou, and Meatball — who form a band called The Buffycats. Living and rocking out in the Clubhouse — a garage at Granny Pina’s house — the quartet’s adventures explore themes of friendship and altruism, tolerance, diversity, and acceptance.
The series will air regularly weekdays at 10 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.
“Nickelodeon is synonymous with quality and excellence in the kids and family content industry. We are truly excited to announce the airing of another Rainbow TV series on Nickelodeon in the U.S.,” says Iginio Straffi, founder and president of Rainbow Group. “44 Cats has already proved to be a top-notch show that can work in any territory, and thanks to Nickelodeon’s huge reach, we will be able to bring the overwhelming positive energy of the show to millions of kids in the U.S. too.”
The series will make its UK debut this September on Pop TV.
